Bloomington, IL – The Illinois Wesleyan Titans suffered a 33-23 loss to the Washington University Bears in a homecoming game marred by turnovers and a slow start.
The Titans were outplayed in the first half and trailed by a significant margin before mounting a comeback effort. Despite a strong performance by senior receiver Myles Kee, who caught 12 passes for 147 yards, the Titans were unable to overcome the early deficit.
Former IWU All-American wide receiver Chris Bisaillon was in attendance for homecoming and shared memories of his record-breaking career, including a special moment when he received a congratulatory call from NFL legend Jerry Rice.
While the football team fell short, the women’s golf team continued its dominance, winning the CCIW Championship by a staggering 65 strokes. Senior Macy Ludwig led the Titans to victory, tying her own school record for 54 holes.
The Titans will look to regroup next week as they continue their CCIW schedule.
