**Mandi, Himachal Pradesh:** A 20-year-old man working at a shop in Bali Chowki sub-division of Mandi district died after suffering an electric shock from a refrigerator on Friday night. The deceased, Durga Das, was a resident of Shukad village in Mandi district and worked at a shop located at Zero Point in Bali Chowki.
According to reports, Das was arranging goods in the shop late at night when he came in contact with the refrigerator and received a fatal electric shock. His arm was severely burnt and he died instantly. While his colleagues rushed to rescue him, Das couldn’t be saved.
The incident has left the victim’s family devastated. He was the sole breadwinner for his family, which includes his parents and a sick brother.
SP Mandi, Shakshi Verma, confirmed the incident. The body has been sent for post-mortem and the police are investigating the case.
