**Nairobi, Kenya** – Zimbabwe has announced their 15-member squad for the Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Sub-Regional Qualifier B, taking place in Kenya later this month. The team features two uncapped players, all-rounder Tashinga Musekiwa and right-arm fast bowler Tinotenda Maposa, alongside experienced campaigners.

The squad includes 11 players who participated in the recent bilateral series against India, including captain Sikandar Raza. Other notable inclusions are all-rounder Ryan Burl and right-arm seamer Trevor Gwandu, who returns to the international stage after a hiatus.

Zimbabwe will face off against Gambia, Kenya, Mozambique, Rwanda and the Seychelles in the Sub-Regional Qualifier. The top two teams will advance to the regional final, where they will be joined by Namibia and Uganda, who received a bye due to their participation in the previous T20 World Cup, and four other teams from sub-regional qualifiers A and C.

“We have picked a young squad that is good enough to make us qualify and I am confident they will deliver in Kenya,” stated David Mutendera, Zimbabwe’s Convener of Selectors. He highlighted the team’s focus on building a younger team for future tournaments, including the 2026 T20 World Cup.

“Raza is still there for now, but we had to start the process of building a younger team for the future,” Mutendera explained, emphasizing the development of upcoming players.
