**New Delhi:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 18th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme on October 5th, 2024. The scheme, launched in 2018, aims to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers across the country.

Under the scheme, eligible farmers receive an annual amount of ₹6,000 in three installments. The amount is transferred directly to the farmers’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

The 17th installment was disbursed in June 2024, benefiting 9.3 crore farmers with a total amount of ₹20,000 crore. The government has decided to release the 18th installment on October 5th, ahead of the festive season, to provide farmers with financial assistance during this time.
