Sat Oct 05 10:48:22 UTC 2024: ## 9.5 Crore Farmers to Receive Rs 2,000 Each in PM-KISAN’s 18th Installment

**New Delhi:** The Indian government is set to release the 18th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on Saturday, October 5, 2024. This installment will benefit an estimated 9.5 crore farmers across the country, with each farmer receiving Rs 2,000. The total outlay for this installment will be Rs 20,000 crore.

Launched in 2018, the PM-KISAN scheme provides financial assistance to small and marginal farmers. Eligible farmers receive an annual grant of Rs 6,000, disbursed in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each through direct bank transfers. The previous installment, the 17th in the series, was released on June 18, 2024, and saw an increase in beneficiaries to 9.25 crore, adding 25 lakh new farmers to the scheme.

Farmers can check their eligibility and enrollment status through the official PM-KISAN website. To do so, they need to visit the website, access the beneficiary list page, and enter details such as state, district, sub-district, block, and village. Selecting ‘Get Report’ will display the beneficiary list, allowing farmers to confirm their inclusion.

To determine their beneficiary status under the scheme, farmers can also utilize the online portal. By visiting the official PM-KISAN website and navigating to the Beneficiary Status section, they can enter their Aadhaar number or account number and click on the ‘Get Data’ button to access their status and payment details.

The government has emphasized the importance of completing the eKYC process for receiving PM-KISAN benefits. Farmers can complete the eKYC through three methods:

* **Online:** By visiting the PM-KISAN portal, entering their Aadhaar number, and submitting an OTP after clicking on eKYC.
* **At CSC/SSK:** By visiting a Common Service Centre (CSC) or State Seva Kendra (SSK) with their Aadhaar card and linked mobile number for biometric authentication.
* **Using Mobile App:** Downloading the PM-KISAN mobile app and Aadhaar Face RD app, logging in with their registered mobile number, and completing the process using a face scan.

By completing the eKYC process, farmers can ensure they receive timely and hassle-free payments under the PM-KISAN scheme.
