Sat Oct 05 06:18:10 UTC 2024: ## PM Modi to release 18th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, 5th installment of Namo Kisan Maha Samman Nidhi in Washim on October 5th

**Washim, October 2, 2024:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be releasing the 18th installment of the “PM Kisan Samman Nidhi” scheme and the 5th installment of the “Namo Kisan Maha Samman Nidhi” scheme in a ceremony at Washim on Saturday, October 5th, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar will also be present at the event.

The 18th installment of the “PM Kisan Samman Nidhi” scheme will benefit eligible farmers by providing them with Rs. 2,000 every four months. Prime Minister Modi previously released the 17th installment of the scheme on June 18th, 2024, in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, benefiting over 9.26 crore farmers. The 18th installment will be credited to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) on October 5th.

Under the “PM Kisan Samman Nidhi” scheme, a total of Rs. 6,000 is transferred to the bank accounts of beneficiary farmers in three installments throughout the year. This financial assistance helps farmers cover essential agricultural expenses. The second installment for the financial year 2024-2025 has already been credited.

The “PM Kisan Samman Nidhi” scheme, launched in the interim budget of 2019 by then Finance Minister Piyush Goyal, provides eligible farmers with Rs. 2,000 every four months, adding up to Rs. 6,000 annually. The funds are disbursed in three installments: April-July, August-November, and December-March.

To benefit from the scheme, farmers are required to complete their e-KYC. As per the official website of the scheme, e-KYC is mandatory for all farmers registered in the PM Kisan portal. OTP-based e-KYC services are available on the PM Kisan portal.
