**Hapur:** A tragic incident occurred at a factory in Pilkhuwa area on Friday, claiming the life of a 29-year-old worker, identified as Akash Tomar, who was electrocuted while performing maintenance work.
Tomar, a resident of Galand village, was working on a gland when he came into contact with a live wire. Factory workers immediately rushed him to the hospital, but he was declared dead upon arrival.
The news of his death sent shockwaves through his family and villagers, who rushed to the hospital and staged a protest, accusing the factory management of negligence.
Police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and sent it for an autopsy.
The Station House Officer (SHO), Raghuraj Singh, stated that an investigation has been initiated into the incident.
