Hyderabad, October 2, 2023: Gayathri, daughter of veteran Telugu actor Rajendra Prasad, passed away on Saturday morning after suffering a heart attack. She was 38 years old.

According to reports, Gayathri was admitted to AIG Hospital in Hyderabad on Friday night after experiencing chest pain. Rajendra Prasad, who was shooting for a film at the time, rushed to the hospital upon hearing the news of his daughter’s illness. Despite medical intervention, she suffered a heart attack and passed away around 12:40 PM on Saturday.

Gayathri, who was known for her role in the film “Kalki 2898 AD”, leaves behind a daughter, Sai Tejaswini, and a son.

Her funeral is scheduled to take place on October 5th.

Several prominent Telugu actors, including Junior NTR, Nani, and Pawan Kalyan, have expressed their condolences to Rajendra Prasad and his family.

Junior NTR, on his social media platform, wrote: “Gayathri, Rajendra Prasad’s daughter, was very close to me. I am deeply saddened to hear about her passing. My heartfelt condolences to Rajendra Prasad and his family.”

Actor Nani also expressed his grief on X (formerly Twitter): “Heartbreaking news about Gayathri’s demise. Deepest condolences to Rajendra Prasad gaaru and his family.”

Pawan Kalyan, actor and Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, offered his condolences during a press conference, stating that Gayathri’s sudden passing was shocking and expressed his prayers for her soul to find peace. He also conveyed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
