Former Indian captain Mithali Raj believes the tournament’s landscape has significantly changed, with increased fan interest and recognition for the sport.
“The Women’s T20 landscape has undergone a lot of change over the years and the growing interest among fans is palpable,” said Raj. “This tournament isn’t just about crowning champions—it’s about celebrating the hard work, dedication, and journey of women cricketers globally.”
The tournament features an impressive commentary lineup, including former T20 World Cup winners Mel Jones, Lisa Sthalekar, Stacy Ann King, Lydia Greenway, and Carlos Brathwaite. The increased prize money, now equal to the men’s tournament, is a testament to the sport’s growing stature.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals on October 17th and 18th, leading up to the final on October 20th at the Dubai International Stadium.
