**ST. LOUIS, MO -** The Enterprise Center will host the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships in 2027, marking the 10th time the city will host the event. The St. Louis Sports Commission and the University of Missouri at Columbia will jointly host the event.
The NCAA selected St. Louis from a pool of over 240 sites bidding for Division I, II, and III sports championships across the 2026-27 and 2027-28 seasons.
“We wanted to come out of this with at least one high-profile championship,” said Marc Schreiber, president of the St. Louis Sports Commission. “Wrestling was at the top of our list because it has a very loyal and dedicated fanbase. The event has gained significant traction in recent years.”
Schreiber pointed to the growth of the event, evidenced by the decision to move it to a domed stadium in Minneapolis in 2028.
The 2027 championships will be held over three days with six sessions. The event last took place at the Enterprise Center in 2021, with attendance limited to 3,000 per session due to COVID restrictions.
While St. Louis missed out on hosting an NCAA men’s basketball regional, it will host a first- and second-round site for the NCAA Tournament in 2026. The Frozen Four will also be held in the city in 2025.
Across state lines, Kansas City has been awarded five NCAA championships, including the 2025 women’s soccer College Cup and the 2027 Midwest Regional for Division I men’s basketball.
