**TANGIPAHOA PARISH, LA** – The body of 69-year-old therapist Dr. William Nicholas Abraham was discovered wrapped in a tarp on the side of a highway in Tangipahoa Parish on Sunday morning. Authorities are investigating his death as a homicide, citing evidence of blunt force trauma to his head, neck, and shoulders.

“It was a very physical and very violent attack,” said Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Gerald Sticker. “He was bludgeoned about in the head, shoulders, and neck. There was a lot of bruising.”

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) has released photos of a person of interest in the investigation. Detectives believe this individual was the last person known to have been driving Dr. Abraham’s vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle, according to TPSO, sped away from a traffic stop and crashed the car, fleeing on foot. The victim is believed to have been murdered elsewhere and his body was dumped on the highway.

Dr. Abraham was described as a kind and gentle man by those who knew him. “He was kind, loving, a gentle man, and frankly not the kind of man that something like this would’ve happened to,” said Jarrett Ambeau, a friend of the victim.

TPSO is urging the public to come forward with any information that could help shed light on Dr. Abraham’s final hours, particularly the events leading up to his murder.
