**Sharjah, UAE** – The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 is set to kick off with a jam-packed first day, featuring four exciting matches and numerous media opportunities.

**Group B action gets underway at 14:00 local time** with Bangladesh facing off against Scotland at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. This will be followed by Pakistan taking on Sri Lanka in a Group A clash at 18:00 local time, also at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

**On Friday, 4 October, the action shifts to the Dubai International Stadium,** with South Africa and the West Indies battling it out in another Group B match at 14:00 local time. The day concludes with India taking on New Zealand in a Group A encounter at 18:00 local time.

**Leading up to the matches,** several teams will be holding training sessions and pre-match press conferences. The West Indies, South Africa, New Zealand, and India will all conduct training sessions at the ICC Academy 2 Ground, while their respective press conferences will be held at the Media Conference Room, ICC Headquarters.

**Media accreditation** is required for access to all events, with cards needing to be collected in person at designated locations. The media areas will open two hours before the start of play and remain open till 2 ½ hours after close of play on match days.

**Filming restrictions are in place,** with accredited non-rights holders allowed to film pre-match day press conferences only. Filming is not permitted inside the venues on match days except for any designated safe filming zones.

**The ICC will upload unedited media conference clips to the Online Media Zone,** with the footage only permitted for use on news channels and websites for editorial purposes.
