**Sydney, Australia –** Former Australian captain Meg Lanning has been appointed as the official ambassador for Prime Video’s exclusive coverage of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 in Australia.

Lanning, a decorated cricketer with seven ICC World Cup titles to her name, will now join Prime Video’s broadcast team as an expert commentator, offering insights and analysis throughout the tournament.

“Meg Lanning is one of Australia’s most iconic cricketers,” said Hwei Loke, Head of Prime Video Australia and New Zealand. “We are delighted to welcome her to Prime Video as our ambassador for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup this October.”

Lanning, who retired from international cricket earlier this year, expressed her excitement for the new role and the opportunity to experience the World Cup from a fresh perspective. “Being the first World Cup since my retirement from international cricket, I’m looking forward to enjoying the tournament from a new perspective that I haven’t had before,” she said.

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates from October 3 to 20, will see ten teams compete in 23 matches. Australia, aiming for their fourth consecutive title, will face Sri Lanka in their opening match on October 5.

Prime Video has secured the Australian broadcast rights for all ICC cricket events for the next four years, and they will be streaming every match of the World Cup live on their platform.
