Thu Oct 03 11:15:56 UTC 2024: ## Uttar Pradesh Polytechnic Results Declared: Shubham Verma and Ikra Top the Charts

**Lucknow, August 20, 2024:** The Uttar Pradesh Technical Education Council (UPTEC) has announced the results for the even-semester, annual, and special back paper examinations held in June 2024. The exams were conducted across 188 centers in the state between June 22nd and July 26th, 2024.

This year, the evaluation process was entirely online for the first time. All answer sheets were scanned and digitally sent to evaluation centers where examiners used login IDs to assess the papers. The online evaluation process, however, led to a delay in the results due to the overlap with the police recruitment board examinations.

Despite the challenges, the results are finally out. Shubham Verma from Savitri Bai Phule Rajkiya Polytechnic, Azamgarh, topped the semester examination with a score of 86.13%. Ikra Khan from Sagar College of Pharmacy, Firozabad, topped the annual examination with a score of 82.96%.

The overall pass percentage for the semester examination was 60.06%, while the annual exam saw a pass percentage of 41.24%. The Council has decided to award medals and cash prizes to the top 10 performers in the merit list.

However, there was a caveat. The results of 284 students were withheld due to the use of unfair means during the examination. Additionally, students who wrote their mobile phone numbers on the answer sheets were given zero marks in the respective subjects.
