**Hyderabad, October 2, 2024:** Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has firmly refuted allegations made by cabinet minister Konda Surekha, who claimed that BRS president KT Rama Rao was responsible for the actress’ divorce from Naga Chaitanya.

In a strongly worded statement on Instagram, Samantha addressed the controversy, stating that she is “proud of what this journey turned me into” and urging Surekha to “be responsible and respectful of individuals’ privacy.” She also clarified that the divorce was a “mutual consent and amicable” decision, with “no political conspiracy involved.”

“My divorce is a personal matter, and I request that you refrain from speculating about it,” she wrote, emphasizing her desire to keep the situation private. “Could you please keep my name out of political battles? I have always remained non-political and wish to continue doing so.”

The actress’ statement comes after Surekha made allegations linking Rama Rao to the Akkineni family’s internal turmoil, allegedly leading to the high-profile divorce.

Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya has moved on and is now engaged to actress Sobhita Dhulipala. His father, Nagarjuna Akkineni, has publicly welcomed Sobhita into the family, confirming the engagement through a social media post. Chaitanya has also expressed his desire for a traditional wedding ceremony, prioritizing family and culture over a lavish celebration.
