Tue Oct 01 23:26:29 UTC 2024: ## Milan Left Frustrated After Missed Chances in Champions League Defeat

Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders expressed his disappointment after the Rossoneri fell to their second consecutive Champions League defeat, this time at the hands of Bayer Leverkusen. Despite dominating the second half and creating numerous chances, Milan were unable to find the back of the net, losing 2-0.

“We didn’t play our game in the first half,” Reijnders admitted. “We conceded too many gaps and chances. But in the second half, we played our game and created our chances, we just couldn’t capitalize.”

Reijnders highlighted that Milan’s performance after Leverkusen’s opening goal offered a positive sign, as they managed to find the spaces they desired. He said, “The only thing is that we didn’t score, and it’s a pity.”

Looking forward to their upcoming Serie A match against Fiorentina, Reijnders remains optimistic. “I think we should play the way we ended this game, going on the pitch to play good football,” he stated. “Of course we need to score and keep trusting the team and the way we play. It’s the only way to make everything go well.”

Despite the disappointing result, Reijnders stressed the importance of learning from the experience and continuing to improve as a team. “We are Milan and we want to win every game, of course, including the one against Fiorentina,” he concluded.
