A major controversy has erupted in the Telugu film industry after Minister Konda Surekha accused Telangana Minister KTR of being responsible for the divorce of Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya.

During a recent political rally, Surekha alleged that KTR demanded Samantha in exchange for not demolishing the N-convention center. She further claimed that Nagarjuna, Chaitanya’s father, pressured Samantha to comply with KTR’s demand, leading to her refusal and ultimately the couple’s divorce.

Surekha went on to accuse KTR of influencing the early marriages of several heroines, attributing his actions to drug addiction and participation in rave parties. She also alleged KTR’s involvement in blackmailing and troubling individuals in the industry.

Following these statements, a strong wave of condemnation arose. Former Minister T Harish Rao demanded an unconditional apology from Surekha for her “derogatory statements.”

Nagarjuna, in a statement on X, expressed his disapproval of Surekha’s accusations, calling them “completely irrelevant and false.” He urged her to withdraw her comments, emphasizing that it was inappropriate to use the personal lives of actors to attack political opponents.
