**Hyderabad:** Telangana IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has refuted allegations made by Minister Konda Surekha regarding phone tapping, sending her a legal notice. KTR stated that the accusations were false and aimed at damaging his reputation. He further accused Surekha of misusing her ministerial position by making unsubstantiated claims.
“The remarks made by Minister Surekha regarding phone tapping and other matters are completely false. She has spoken with the sole intention of tarnishing my reputation. Konda Surekha has abused her ministerial position by making these false claims without any evidence,” KTR stated.
He warned that Surekha’s comments could mislead the public and expressed his concern about the potential damage to his image. KTR also mentioned sending a legal notice to Surekha in April regarding similar unsubstantiated claims. He said that if Surekha fails to apologize, he will file a defamation lawsuit and criminal charges against her.
Earlier, Minister Surekha accused KTR of making inappropriate posts against her as a BC woman. She claimed that KTR instructed his party workers to post such content, implying a deliberate attempt to demean and harass her. She also alleged that KTR’s behavior had caused discomfort within the film industry, citing some actresses’ early marriages as a result. Furthermore, Surekha attributed certain events within the Nagarjuna family to KTR’s actions.
It is noteworthy that both Nagarjuna and Samantha have refuted Konda Surekha’s allegations.
