**New Delhi, India** – Prime Minister Narendra Modi today declared the Swachh Bharat Mission a success and announced the next phase of the cleanliness initiative, “Mission Amrit”. The announcement was made during a nationwide event celebrating the achievements of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
“The Swachh Bharat Mission has not only achieved its goal of making India cleaner, but has also instilled a sense of responsibility towards cleanliness in every citizen,” said PM Modi. He highlighted the significant improvements in sanitation and hygiene across the country, particularly in rural areas, as a result of the mission.
