Wed Oct 02 14:21:12 UTC 2024: ## BJP Threatens Legal Action Against BRS Leaders for Online Trolling

**HYDERABAD, October 1, 2024:** The BJP has issued a strong warning to the ruling BRS party in Telangana, threatening to file legal cases against leaders who have engaged in online trolling and made derogatory comments against Minister Konda Surekha.

Addressing a press conference, BJP MP M. Raghunandan Rao demanded the BRS take immediate action against those responsible, including suspending them from the party and filing criminal charges. Rao specifically pointed to offensive comments originating from accounts displaying photos of prominent BRS leaders, including K.T. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao.

He condemned the “culture of personal attacks” and urged the BRS to control its social media teams, accusing them of spreading false and objectionable content. He warned that the party would not hesitate to pursue legal action if necessary.

The BJP also renewed its criticism of the Congress government, accusing them of selective demolitions and failing to implement the promised ₹2 lakh farm loan waiver. Several BJP leaders, including Nizamabad MP D. Aravind and Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender, expressed their dissatisfaction with the current administration, drawing parallels with the BRS’s previous governance.

The BJP’s protest comes as a culmination of a 24-hour demonstration demanding the implementation of promises made to farmers. The party plans to continue its pressure on the government, organizing similar protests across Telangana and planning another demonstration against the proposed regional ring road alignment.
