**New Delhi:** In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Delhi Police Special Cell has seized over 560 kg of cocaine, worth an estimated Rs 2000 crores in the international market, and arrested four individuals linked to an international drug smuggling syndicate. The bust took place in South Delhi, raising concerns about the growing drug menace in the national capital.
The police are investigating the possibility of a narco-terror angle in this case. This massive seizure follows a string of recent drug busts in Delhi, including the recovery of 400 grams of heroin and 160 grams of cocaine in Tilak Nagar on September 29, resulting in the arrest of two Afghan nationals. The same day, Delhi Customs officials seized 1,660 grams of cocaine worth over Rs 24 crores from a passenger at Indira Gandhi International Airport.
The latest operation highlights the growing threat of international drug trafficking networks targeting India. The Delhi Police Special Cell is actively working to dismantle these syndicates and curb the flow of illegal drugs into the country.
