Mon Sep 30 05:15:52 UTC 2024: ## LGBTQ+ Streaming Platform Revry Sees Growth in Ad Revenue as Brands Embrace Diversity

**New York, NY** – Revry, an LGBTQ+-owned and operated streaming platform, is experiencing a surge in ad revenue as brands increasingly prioritize diversity in their media spending. This growth comes amidst a wider shift towards supporting minority-owned media companies, particularly following the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020.

Revry, which launched in 2015, offers free-to-watch content that showcases the LGBTQ+ experience, including licensed titles and original series. The platform has expanded its reach through FAST channels and free on-demand content, available on major streaming services like Roku, Samsung TV Plus, and Tubi.

“We don’t want to compete with the major streaming giants,” said Damian Pelliccione, co-founder and CEO of Revry. “We’re using FAST channels and free content to reach as many viewers as possible who are interested in LGBTQ+ storytelling.”

Revry’s audience skews young, with roughly 70% being Gen Z or millennial. Notably, a growing number of viewers identify as allies of the LGBTQ+ community, demonstrating a broader interest in inclusive content.

“Brands are realizing that the LGBTQ+ community is a very lucrative minority group,” Pelliccione said. “They’re increasingly interested in marketing to this audience, which has significant purchasing power.”

Revry has seen an increase in programmatic and direct ad deals from major brands such as Lexus, CeraVe, and Discover. The platform also operates its own programmatic ad network, PrismRiot, which connects advertisers with a diverse range of content beyond just LGBTQ+ programming.

Pelliccione emphasized that brands are focusing on age and cultural demographics when targeting Revry’s audience, rather than specific LGBTQ+ identities. This reflects a shift towards broader diversity initiatives rather than simply focusing on sexual orientation.

Revry’s success hinges on increasing watch time, which translates to more ad inventory. “We’re creating new opportunities for advertisers to reach a diverse and engaged audience,” Pelliccione said.

As brands continue to prioritize diversity in their marketing strategies, Revry is well-positioned to benefit from this trend. The platform’s commitment to showcasing LGBTQ+ stories and its growing audience make it an attractive option for advertisers seeking to reach a diverse and valuable consumer base.
