The Irani Cup match between Mumbai and Rest of India, currently underway at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, witnessed a delayed start due to rain, similar to the Kanpur Test. Rest of India, electing to bowl after winning the toss, got off to a strong start as Mumbai’s opening batsmen, Prithvi Shaw and Hardik Tamore, were dismissed cheaply for 4 and 0 runs respectively.
Mumbai’s innings was then steadied by captain Ajinkya Rahane, who formed valuable partnerships with Ayush Mhatre and Shreyas Iyer, propelling the score beyond 150.
