Tue Oct 01 05:05:34 UTC 2024: ## Former Bangladesh Cricket Captain Mashrafe Bin Mortuza Accused of Forcibly Taking Shares in BPL Team
**DHAKA, Sept 30, 2024** – A case has been filed against former Bangladesh national cricket captain Mashrafe Bin Mortuza and five others, accusing them of forcibly seizing shares in the BPL Cricket Team, Sylhet Strikers.
The plaintiff, USA-based Bangladeshi expatriate Sarwar Golam Chowdhury, claims that Mashrafe, a former Awami League lawmaker, along with Helaluddin, Imam Hasan, RJSC commission officer AKM Russell, and Bablu, took control of his share in the team on August 31, 2023.
Pallabi police station has confirmed the case filing and appointed Inspector Adil Hossain as the investigating officer. Police are currently investigating the allegations and arrests will be made based on the findings.
