Tue Oct 01 16:06:58 UTC 2024: ## Women’s T20 World Cup 2024: All-Women Umpire Panel Announced for High-Voltage Tournament

The ICC has announced the match officials for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, which is set to take place in the United Arab Emirates from October 3rd to 20th. Notably, all match officials for the tournament will be women.

The high-voltage India vs. Pakistan match, scheduled for October 6th in Dubai, will be officiated by Australian umpire Eloise Sheridan and South African umpire Lauren Agenbag. West Indies’ Jacqueline Williams will serve as the third umpire.

India’s GS Lakshmi will be the match referee, while Brinda Rathi is the only Indian umpire selected for the tournament.

The tournament opener on October 3rd will see Bangladesh face Scotland, with Claire Polosak and Lauren Agenbag officiating.

Team India, captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, will begin their campaign on October 4th against New Zealand. Williams and England’s Anna Harris will be the on-field umpires, with Polosak as the TV umpire.

The remaining match officials for the semi-finals and final, to be held on October 17th, 18th, and 20th, will be announced later.

Originally scheduled to be hosted by Bangladesh, the tournament was moved to the UAE due to political unrest in the country.
