**Panaji:** Hyderabad FC will look to bounce back from their opening loss as they host Chennaiyin FC in their first home game of the 2024-25 Indian Super League (ISL) season at the Gachibowli Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Both teams are seeking redemption after disappointing results in their previous outings. Hyderabad FC narrowly lost 2-0 to Punjab FC, while Chennaiyin FC suffered a 1-0 defeat to Mohammedan SC.

Despite the recent defeats, Hyderabad FC have a strong record against Chennaiyin FC. In their last eight ISL encounters, Hyderabad FC have conceded one or fewer goals, winning four of those matches.

However, Chennaiyin FC will be looking to capitalize on their recent scoring form, having found the back of the net in each of their last four away fixtures.

Hyderabad FC head coach Thangboi Singto is drawing inspiration from last season’s victory over Chennaiyin FC and believes his team can repeat the feat. “I can see the boys have really gelled in training over the last few weeks,” Singto said. “Last season, Chennaiyin was the only team we beat, and I hope we can do it again.”

Chennaiyin FC head coach Owen Coyle acknowledged the team’s improved start compared to last year but admitted there’s room for improvement. “I’d love to be sitting here with six points, for sure,” he said. “We have to take that setback and bounce back quickly.”

With both teams having won four of their ten ISL clashes, Tuesday’s match promises to be a highly competitive encounter.
