**Mumbai, India:** Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda sustained an accidental bullet injury at his Mumbai residence early Tuesday morning. The 60-year-old star was preparing to depart for Kolkata when his licensed revolver fell from his hand and discharged, hitting him in the knee.

Govinda was immediately rushed to Criticare Hospital, where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. Thankfully, the bullet was successfully removed, and the actor is currently in stable condition. His manager, Shashi Sinha, assured the public that Govinda is out of danger and recovering well.

“It was a freak accident,” Sinha said, adding that Govinda was getting ready to leave for Kolkata when the incident occurred. “It is due to God’s grace that Govinda ji sustained only a leg injury and it was nothing serious.”

Govinda, known for his comedic roles in over 165 Hindi-language films, has been a popular figure in Bollywood since the late 1980s. His energetic dance moves, impeccable comic timing, and smooth dialogue delivery have earned him a dedicated fanbase across generations.
