**Hyderabad:** The much awaited results of the Telangana DSC 2024 examination were finally declared today by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. The results are available on the official website: **[link to website]**.
The results were announced after a wait of more than two months, with thousands of candidates eagerly awaiting their fate. The Telangana School Education Department had conducted the online examination for 11,062 government teacher posts between July 18th and August 5th.
A total of 2,79,957 candidates had applied for the exam and 2,45,263 appeared. Following the completion of the examination, the department released the preliminary answer key on August 13th.
Candidates had an opportunity to raise objections to the key until August 20th, with approximately 28,000 objections received. The final answer key was then released on September 6th.
Despite the final answer key release, concerns were raised regarding potential errors in some districts, leading to further scrutiny and delays in the result declaration.

The declaration of the General Ranking list will pave the way for the next stage of the recruitment process. This includes the verification of documents for the selected candidates, which will be conducted in 33 districts based on the vacancies.
The state education department will then send the shortlisted candidates’ list to the district selection committees for further processing. This process is expected to take another three months.
The results come just in time, as around 10,000 teachers are expected to retire in December this year. The Telangana School Education Department has highlighted that the DSC results were declared within 56 days of the exam completion.
