**Hyderabad, October 1, 2024:** Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy released the results of the much-awaited District Selection Committee (DSC) examination on Monday, marking the completion of the recruitment process for 11,602 teacher posts.
The results, which were released in a ceremony at the Secretariat, were declared just 55 days after the examinations concluded. The Chief Minister highlighted the swiftness of the process, contrasting it with the previous government’s record of only one DSC notification with just 7,000 posts in a decade.
“We are committed to filling all vacant teacher positions in the state,” said CM Reddy. He further informed that the selection process will follow a 1:3 ratio verification and the final appointment letters will be handed over to successful candidates at the LB Stadium on October 9th.
While the general ranking list is currently available on the official websites – https://schooledu.telangana.gov.in/ISMS/ and https://tgdsc.aptonline.in/tgdsc/, it only displays the marks and rank of candidates. The final merit list, based on the merit-cum-roster system, will be released to District Education Officers (DEOs) shortly.
The DSC examination was conducted from July 18th to August 5th, drawing 2.45 lakh candidates. The preliminary key was released on August 13th, followed by a final key on September 6th.
The government is expected to release the merit list with district-wise allocation based on the 1:3 ratio, considering reservations, after the verification of certificates.
This recruitment drive, announced in March, holds significant importance for the education sector in Telangana. The swift completion of the process is expected to fill the existing teacher vacancies and improve the quality of education in the state.
