**Abu Dhabi:** Veteran Telugu actor Chiranjeevi received the prestigious “Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema” award at the inaugural IIFA Utsavam, a celebration of southern film industries. The award, presented by legendary lyricist Javed Akhtar and actress Shabana Azmi, recognizes Chiranjeevi’s remarkable contribution to Indian cinema spanning over four decades.

The megastar, who debuted in 1978, has starred in over 150 films, including iconic titles like “Swayam Krushi”, “Rudraveena”, “Indra”, and “Gang Leader”. His recent hits include “Waltair Veerayya” and “GodFather”.

The first edition of IIFA Utsavam, held in Abu Dhabi, saw a grand celebration of Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada cinema. The second day of the event will feature a ceremony dedicated to Hindi films, while the third day will be devoted to the IIFA Music Awards.

The evening is expected to be a star-studded affair with performances by Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Rekha, and hosting by Shah Rukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal and Karan Johar.
