Mon Sep 30 16:35:16 UTC 2024: ## Eye Specialist Dies in Tragic Accident on Hyderabad’s ORR
**Hyderabad:** A young and promising eye specialist, Dr Nilay Reddy, tragically lost his life early Monday morning after his car overturned on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Rajendranagar.
The 29-year-old doctor, who worked as a Cornea and Anterior Segment Fellow at the L V Prasad Eye Hospital, was on his way to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport from his residence in Jubilee Hills when the accident occurred.
According to Rajendranagar Inspector K Kastro, Dr Reddy was driving at a high speed when he lost control of his car. The vehicle overturned and skidded for approximately 100 meters before colliding with the crash guard railing. The impact caused the car’s door to open, ejecting Dr Reddy onto the service road. He died at the scene.
Police arrived at the location and transported the body to Osmania General Hospital for a post-mortem examination. A case has been registered and authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, which is suspected to be due to excessive speed.
