Sun Sep 29 02:58:20 UTC 2024: ## Bayern Stumbles to Draw Against Leverkusen, Kane Injured

**Munich, Germany** – Bayern Munich’s dominant performance in their Bundesliga clash against Bayer Leverkusen ended in a frustrating 1-1 draw at the Allianz Arena on Saturday. Despite dominating possession and racking up 18 shots to Leverkusen’s three, Bayern failed to find a winning goal.

The first half saw Bayern control the game, with Jamal Musiala consistently finding gaps in the Leverkusen defense. However, against the run of play, Bayer Leverkusen struck first in the 31st minute. Granit Xhaka expertly controlled a corner kick with his chest and set up Robert Andrich, who unleashed a powerful low shot past a crowd of players.

Bayern responded quickly, though, equalizing just minutes later when a poor clearance from Leverkusen landed at the feet of Aleksandar Pavlovic. The midfielder took a half-volley from 25 meters, sending the ball past a diving Lukas Hradecky and into the top corner.

Despite numerous chances in the second half, Bayern couldn’t break through. Serge Gnabry missed two golden opportunities, one hitting the far post and the other skimming the crossbar. The Bavarians continued their relentless pressure, but Leverkusen defended resolutely.

Adding to Bayern’s woes, England captain Harry Kane limped off injured in the latter stages of the match following a collision with Amine Adli. He was replaced by Thomas Mueller, who also went down in the box under a challenge from Edmond Tapsoba, but the referee didn’t award a penalty.

The draw leaves Bayern with 13 points after five games, two points ahead of RB Leipzig at the top of the standings. Leverkusen, with 10 points, sit in third place. While the result is a setback for Bayern, they will be most concerned about the injury to Kane, who will be assessed for the extent of his problem.
