**Abu Dhabi:** Rishab Shetty, the star of the blockbuster Kannada film “Kantara,” has addressed the controversy surrounding his recent comments about Bollywood. While attending the IIFA Utsavam 2024 in Abu Dhabi, Shetty clarified that his words were taken out of context and twisted.

Shetty’s original comments, which went viral, were interpreted as criticizing Bollywood for “belittling” India. However, he stated that his intention was misconstrued and promised to explain his true meaning in detail at a later date.

“My words have been misinterpreted, and my comments have been twisted,” Shetty said. “I will definitely clarify this matter. Let’s discuss it fully at the right time.”

Despite the controversy, Shetty remains in high demand. He is currently filming the prequel to “Kantara,” titled “Kantara: Chapter 1,” which is set in the Kadamba era. He has been undergoing rigorous training in Kalaripayattu for this role.

Shetty was also awarded the “Outstanding Excellence in Kannada Cinema” award at the IIFA event. He expressed gratitude to his fans for their support and promised to deliver more entertaining films in the future.
