**Hyderabad:** The upcoming IPL season is set to be a lucrative one for players, with reports suggesting a potential financial windfall. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to enhance the financial benefits for players in the world’s richest league.
The BCCI’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and IPL Governing Council meeting, scheduled for Sunday, are expected to finalize these plans. Key decisions are anticipated, including allowing teams to retain up to six players during the auction and giving them the option to utilize the ‘Right to Match’ card.
Adding to the financial boost, the BCCI Secretary Jay Shah confirmed on Twitter that each match will earn players ₹7.5 lakhs, while a full season would translate to ₹1.05 crores. Furthermore, each franchise is expected to allocate ₹12.60 crores towards match fees.
**Bopanna-Dodig Pair Exits Beijing ATP Open**
Meanwhile, Indian tennis veteran Rohan Bopanna and his Croatian partner Ivan Dodig bowed out of the China ATP Open.
