Sat Sep 28 03:04:33 UTC 2024: ## Kejriwal Slams Modi for Inducting “Corrupt” Opposition Leaders into BJP, Delhi Assembly Sees Heated Debate
**New Delhi, September 28, 2024:** The Delhi Assembly witnessed a heated exchange on Friday, with AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of inducting 25 “corrupt” opposition leaders into the BJP. Kejriwal made these comments on the second day of the Assembly session, highlighting his concerns over the alleged misuse of central probe agencies.
He also took a dig at the RSS, saying their role is limited to welcoming defectors from Congress, NCP, and Shiv Sena into the BJP.
Meanwhile, the Leader of the Opposition, Vijender Gupta, raised concerns over the rising groundwater pollution in Delhi, citing a report by the Central Ground Water Board. He claimed that the quality of groundwater has significantly deteriorated over the past three years and accused the Delhi government of failing to address the issue. Gupta demanded that the report be tabled in the Assembly.
Chief Minister Atishi, responding to the BJP’s accusations, claimed their “malicious conspiracies” led to the wrongful imprisonment of Kejriwal for six months, forcing him to resign. She asserted that the people of Delhi will retaliate in the upcoming Assembly elections in February, giving AAP all 70 seats and ousting the BJP from Delhi.
