Tue Sep 24 23:58:17 UTC 2024: ## Chelsea Cruise Past Barrow in Carabao Cup, Nkunku Bags Hat Trick

Chelsea eased into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup with a resounding 5-0 victory over League Two side Barrow at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday. New signing Christopher Nkunku stole the show, scoring his first hat trick for the Blues.

Nkunku opened the scoring in the 15th minute, adding a second just minutes later. Barrow’s goalkeeper, Paul Farman, then turned the ball into his own net to extend Chelsea’s lead. Pedro Neto, another new arrival, netted his first goal for the club before Nkunku completed his hat trick in the 75th minute.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca made 11 changes to his starting lineup, giving opportunities to fringe players and youngsters. Despite the significant rotation, Chelsea dominated the match from start to finish, showcasing their depth and talent.

“We’re delighted with the performance,” said Maresca. “We know we have a lot of games coming up, and it’s important to give everyone a chance to play. The players who came in today did a fantastic job.”

The fourth round draw for the Carabao Cup will take place after Wednesday’s remaining matches.
