**Los Angeles, CA** – Disney has released the first trailer for its upcoming superhero film “Thunderbolts,” featuring a team of Marvel’s most notorious villains and antiheroes. The trailer opens with Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, a depressed assassin, reunited with her father, Alexei (David Harbour). Yelena quickly finds purpose again when she is tasked with leading a team of Marvel’s shadiest characters, including U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko).
The team is threatened with elimination after completing their assigned tasks, leading Yelena to warn her fellow miscreants, “This could get messy.” The trailer also introduces Lewis Pullman as Bob and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Val, who greet the team of expendables.
“Thunderbolts” has faced delays due to the writers and actors strikes last year and is now slated for release on May 2, 2025. The film has also seen some cast changes, with Geraldine Viswanathan replacing Ayo Edebiri and Lewis Pullman replacing Steven Yeun due to scheduling conflicts.
