**Dublin, Ireland** – A five-month-old baby girl was found safe and well after being taken in a carjacking in Dublin earlier today. The incident occurred around 1:50 pm near Mountjoy Square, when a man, described as white, middle-aged, and wearing dark clothing and a baseball cap, hijacked a silver Nissan Qashqai hatchback. The baby, who was wearing a pink cardigan and Ugg boots, was in the car at the time.

A Child Rescue Ireland (CRI) Alert was issued, and the baby was located in Dublin City Centre shortly after 4 pm. Superintendent Liam Geraghty stated the child was missing for just over two hours and that the incident was a traumatic experience for the parents. Thankfully, they were reunited shortly after 4 pm.

Police are currently investigating the incident, which they believe was an opportunistic crime. The suspect, who is not known to the baby or her family, remains at large.
