Tue Sep 24 05:11:02 UTC 2024: ## Amit Shah Slams Congress in Haryana, Accuses Party of Insulting Sikhs and Dalits

**Chandigarh, September 23, 2024:** Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the Congress party during an election rally in Haryana, accusing the party of insulting Sikhs and Dalits. He demanded an apology from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his alleged remarks against Sikhs.

Addressing a rally in Tohana, Shah claimed that the Congress has a long history of disrespecting Sikhs, citing instances like Rahul Gandhi’s comments on turbans and “Kada,” and the alleged desecration of the Golden Temple. He urged Gandhi to visit a Gurdwara and apologize to the Sikh community.

Shah further accused the Congress of being “anti-Dalit,” highlighting the party’s opposition to reservation policies. He asserted that the BJP is the only party that can protect the interests of Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes, and criticized the Congress for insulting Dalit leaders like Kumari Selja and Ashok Tanwar.

Moving on to the BJP’s achievements in Haryana, Shah claimed the party eradicated corruption, nepotism, and regional politics during its tenure. He contrasted the BJP government with the previous Congress regime led by Bhupinder Singh Hooda, which he alleged was dominated by “dealers, son-in-laws, and corrupt people.”

Shah also accused the Congress of making false promises to gain power, particularly citing the “One Rank One Pension” scheme for soldiers. He emphasized the BJP’s implementation of OROP after assuming power in 2014.

In another rally in Jagadhri, Shah criticized the Congress for not working in the interests of farmers, accusing them of making empty promises regarding Minimum Support Price (MSP). He highlighted that only BJP-ruled Haryana purchases 24 crops at MSP.

With the Haryana Assembly elections approaching, Amit Shah’s aggressive campaign strategy appears aimed at consolidating BJP’s support by highlighting the Congress’ perceived failures and alleged anti-minority sentiments.
