**Singapore, 22 September 2024** – Lando Norris finally shed his starting grid demons, claiming his first Formula 1 victory in dominant fashion at the Singapore Grand Prix.
The McLaren driver snatched the lead into the first corner from pole position, holding off a charging Max Verstappen who struggled from the start. Norris then built an insurmountable lead, ultimately cruising to victory 24 seconds ahead of the Red Bull driver.
Oscar Piastri secured a brilliant third-place finish for McLaren, outpacing a hard-fought George Russell in the Mercedes. Russell, however, managed to hold off Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari for fourth, with Lewis Hamilton finishing behind in fifth.
