**Jaipur, India:** Rhea Singha was crowned Miss Universe India 2024 at a grand finale held in Jaipur on Sunday, September 22nd. The 18-year-old from Gujarat will now represent India at the Miss Universe 2024 competition, to be held in Mexico.
Singha, who is also an actress, beat out 50 other contestants from across the country. She expressed her gratitude and excitement for the win, mentioning that she was inspired by previous winners.
“I am so grateful. I have worked very hard to reach this point where I feel worthy of this crown. I am inspired by the previous winners,” Singha told ANI.
The first runner-up was Pranjal Priya, while Chavi secured the second runner-up position. Sushmita Roy and Ruofuzhano Whisho were declared the third and fourth runner-ups, respectively.
Urvashi Rautela, Miss Universe India 2015, was one of the judges for the competition and crowned Singha. She expressed her hope that India would win the Miss Universe crown this year.
Singha boasts a following of nearly 39,000 on Instagram. She will now focus on preparing for the international competition.
