India secured a resounding victory over Bangladesh in the first Test match of the two-match series in Chennai, winning by a margin of 280 runs. The team has now departed Chennai and will head to Kanpur for the second Test, scheduled to commence on September 27th at the Green Park Stadium.
Following the Chennai victory, a video surfaced online showing Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir, and Rishabh Pant departing together from Chennai. While there has been no official confirmation, reports suggest that the trio travelled to Delhi before heading to Kanpur.
Kohli, despite his team’s triumph, had a relatively quiet performance in the Chennai Test, scoring 6 runs in the first innings and 17 in the second. Pant, on the other hand, starred in the second innings with a brilliant century, adding to his 39 runs in the first innings.
The two-match Test series will be followed by a three-match T20 series, with the first match scheduled for October 6th in Gwalior, the second on October 9th in Delhi, and the final match on October 12th in Hyderabad.
