Atishi Marlena was sworn in as the youngest Chief Minister of Delhi on Saturday at the Raj Niwas. The ceremony also saw the swearing-in of five other ministers, including Saurabh Bharadwaj, Gopal Rai, Imran Hussain, Kailash Gahlot, and Mukesh Ahlawat.
In her first address, Atishi expressed her emotion at taking over from Arvind Kejriwal, praising his achievements in transforming Delhi’s education, healthcare, and public transport.
The newly appointed ministers were allocated their portfolios, with Mukesh Ahlawat receiving SC ST Welfare and Labour, and Saurabh Bharadwaj taking on Social Welfare and Cooperative/Cooperation.
Meanwhile, outgoing CM Arvind Kejriwal will hold a ‘Janta ki Adalat’ at Jantar Mantar to address corruption charges against him in the excise policy case. The AAP has also requested government accommodation for Kejriwal, citing his role as the convener of a national party.
