**Philadelphia, PA –** Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s three-day visit to the United States has been marked by a flurry of activities, including the Quad Leaders’ Summit, bilateral meetings, and a focus on global health initiatives.

The Quad Summit, held in Delaware, saw significant developments in areas like semiconductor supply chains, renewable energy, and space-based monitoring. India committed $2 million to new solar projects in Fiji, Comoros, Madagascar, and Seychelles, while Japan pledged $122 million for renewable energy initiatives in the Indo-Pacific.

The United States, through the Development Finance Corporation (DFC), extended a $250 million loan to Tata Power Solar and a $500 million loan to First Solar to bolster solar energy production in India.

The Quad also announced plans for a first-ever Quad-at-Sea Ship Observer Mission in 2025 to enhance interoperability in the Indo-Pacific.

Furthermore, India and its Quad partners launched a new initiative to award fifty Quad Scholarships to students from the Indo-Pacific region for undergraduate engineering programs in India.

On the sidelines of the Quad summit, Prime Minister Modi held bilateral meetings with US President Joe Biden, Japanese PM Fumio Kishida, and Australian PM Anthony Albanese, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new avenues for cooperation.

A key focus of Modi’s visit was the Cancer Moonshot initiative, a collaborative effort to combat cancer globally. The initiative aims to eradicate cervical cancer in the Indo-Pacific region, with the US Navy training medical professionals in the region to conduct screening and vaccination programs.

India pledged $7.5 million to support HPV sampling kits, detection kits, and vaccines, and also committed to providing 40 million vaccine doses for Indo-Pacific countries through GAVI and Quad initiatives.

The United States returned 297 smuggled antiquities to India, marking a significant step in protecting cultural heritage.

Modi’s visit concluded with the Summit of the Future (SOTF) at the United Nations in New York, where he chaired key bilateral meetings.

Overall, Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the US showcased India’s commitment to global cooperation, particularly in areas like health, climate change, and economic development.
