**New York, USA:** The annual Quad summit concluded in New York on Sunday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterating the group’s commitment to a rules-based international order and a free and open Indo-Pacific. The summit, attended by leaders from the United States, Japan, and Australia, focused on strengthening cooperation in areas like semiconductors, critical and emerging technologies, and Indo-Pacific Maritime Domain Awareness (IPMDA).

During the summit, India launched a new initiative to award fifty Quad scholarships, worth $500,000, to students from the Indo-Pacific region, furthering the group’s dedication to fostering people-to-people connections.

Prior to the summit, Prime Minister Modi held bilateral talks with U.S. President Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware, where the U.S. facilitated the return of 297 antiquities stolen or trafficked from India. In a symbolic gesture, a select few pieces were showcased to Prime Minister Modi and President Biden.

The summit also saw the launch of a Cancer Moonshot Initiative aimed at addressing the challenges posed by cervical cancer. The initiative underscores the Quad’s commitment to tackling global health challenges through collaboration.
