**BENIN CITY, NIGERIA** – Prof. Rhoda Gumus, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) National Commissioner in charge of Edo State, has pledged to uphold the integrity of the ongoing gubernatorial election by refusing any form of bribery.

In a televised interview, Prof. Gumus stated that her reputation precedes her and that no one would dare attempt to offer her a bribe. She emphasized that the commission is committed to ensuring a free, fair, and credible election, aiming to make it the most transparent one yet.

“I want to do the right thing,” Prof. Gumus declared. “We will conduct this election in a free, fair and credible manner. I cannot take bribes, no matter how much. I don’t have to take billions to do what is right.”
