Sat Sep 21 10:48:41 UTC 2024: ## Coldplay Concert Tickets: The Odds Are Stacked Against You

Coldplay is set to return to India for a concert after a 9-year hiatus, with shows scheduled for January 18 and 19 in Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium. While the venue can accommodate 50,000 people, securing a ticket for the highly anticipated event might be a challenge.

According to a ChatGPT analysis shared on X (formerly Twitter), the odds of getting a ticket could be as low as 22%. The prediction takes into account an estimated 1.5 lakh people expressing interest on BookMyShow, with additional competition from those not formally expressing interest and individuals using multiple devices or accounts.

The analysis suggests that the initial odds of securing a ticket are around 1 in 3. However, considering the non-expressed interest and multiple bookings, the odds drop to 1 in 4.4, or a 22.7% probability.

Many users on X pointed out potential flaws in the calculation, including the fact that the analysis doesn’t account for VIP ticket prices, which could drive more people towards general tickets, making it even harder to secure one. Additionally, the possibility of multiple ticket purchases by a single person, a strategy learned from previous events like Diljit Dosanjh’s tour, could further decrease the odds.

Coldplay has introduced a special ‘Infinity Tickets’ scheme, priced at Rs 2,000, but the seating for these tickets will only be revealed on the day of the concert. Each fan can purchase a maximum of two Infinity Tickets.

With such high demand and limited availability, fans hoping to catch Coldplay in India will need to be prepared for a competitive ticket-buying experience.
