Sun Sep 22 09:51:09 UTC 2024: ## Coldplay Concert Tickets Sell Out Amidst BookMyShow Crash

**Mumbai, India:** Coldplay fans in India faced disappointment on September 22nd as the BookMyShow platform crashed seconds before the sale of tickets for the band’s highly anticipated Mumbai concerts went live. The British band is set to return to India after nine years with shows scheduled for January 18th and 19th, 2025, at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium.

The website crash led to widespread frustration among eager fans, many of whom took to social media to express their disappointment. One user commented, “To get sold out on Coldplay was acceptable. They (BookMyShow) didn’t even worry about the server. Why did you decide to host the ticket sale?”

BookMyShow eventually restored the platform, but fans were met with long online queues, with some users sharing screenshots displaying messages like “six lakh people ahead of you.” Despite the initial chaos, a third date has been added to Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres World Tour in India due to overwhelming demand. Tickets for the January 21st, 2025 show went on sale on September 22nd at 2 PM IST.

Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour, which launched in March 2022, has already sold over 10 million tickets, making it the most attended tour by a group in history. The tour, which spans multiple continents, will also include stops in Abu Dhabi, Seoul, and Hong Kong between January and April 2025.

Prior to their Mumbai performances, Coldplay will release their new album, “Moon Music,” on October 4th, 2024. The album will be produced with a focus on sustainability, featuring LPs made from 100% recycled plastic bottles.
