**Tokyo, Japan** – Get ready to set sail for a wild adventure! Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii,” a spinoff to the beloved “Like a Dragon” (formerly “Yakuza”) series, featuring the charismatic and eccentric Goro Majima. The game is slated for a February 28, 2025 release, just a year after the epic “Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.”
The new game throws Majima into a fantastical tale. After washing ashore on a deserted Hawaiian island with amnesia, he finds himself tangled up with pirates from the mysterious land of Madlantis. Despite the present-day setting, Majima mysteriously becomes the captain of a pirate galleon, sailing the high seas and hunting for lost treasure.
A seven-minute trailer narrated by Majima himself sets the stage, hinting at an unreliable narrator and promising a blend of goofy fun and intense action. The game boasts flashy brawling combat, a return of the “delivery minigame” from “Infinite Wealth,” a pirate queen residing in a secret city made of ships, and a child sidekick with a pet tiger cub.
“Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii” will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. This marks Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s fifth “Like a Dragon” game in as many years, proving their unstoppable momentum in the gaming world.
