Rangers manager Philippe Clement expressed his excitement ahead of Saturday’s Premier Sports Cup quarter-final clash against Dundee, marking the team’s return to Ibrox after a lengthy renovation period.
“It’s a special feeling coming back there,” said Clement. “You get a special feeling coming back there. I know it’s the same with all the players. I feel it already – they give something extra in training. It will be with all the fans also. It’s like coming home after a really long time.”
The Gers played four of their home fixtures at Hampden Park while renovation works were ongoing at Ibrox. While a section of the Copland Stand will remain closed, the team is eager to return to their home ground.
Clement also emphasized his ambitions for the season, declaring his desire to win every competition. “I want to win everything,” he asserted. “That’s the goal of everything I do in life. I want to see that with my team as well. It’s another competition where you go full to have the victory. You cannot put priorities here. You cannot throw away any competition. All the competitions are important.”
Rangers will face a busy schedule, with the Dundee match followed by their Europa League opener against Malmo on Thursday. Clement will be without Ridvan Yilmaz, Rabbi Matondo and Danilo for the Dundee clash.
